Its about the things that happen between the artist and the
painting.
A unique interaction that conjures a truth, a composition that
emerges through the balancing of control between artist
and paint.
Close attention is given to the palette that determines
the balance and mood, I work a long time to control this.
Then, using mostly a spatula, a process of adding and
excavating the paint leads the work to what ever it should be.
The paintings often become different things to different viewers.
My paintings are always honest and unpretentious. A result of
my relationship with painting and my perception of the climate
that is about me condensed into the work.
